From St.Croix to Harlem 1920's

Welcome to Deh Wan Drama Inc.'s "From St. Croix to Harlem 1920's" website. This playhouse shows how the Harlem Renaissance and the Caribbean culture bended together, with the different dances such as the Lindy Hop and the Quadrille. The play included extracts from literary pieces written by authors such as Langston Hughes, Margaret Walker, Philip M. Sherlock,Evan Jones, and Marcus Garvey. The Cruzan Tea Ladies venue takes us into the dramatic storyteller, Ms. Annie's narration of the Greek story of Medea and Jason. The market ladies and the Mocko Jumbie adds the warmth of our Caribbean culture.
